Pizza is something that just about everyone loves, and everyone can have it. Vegan? Don’t put on cheese or meat. Gluten-free? Make a special crust. Unable to eat dairy? Don’t put on cheese.

However, I have personally found that I’m not a fan of pizza crust. I just don’t like it. It’s always so tasteless that I wonder what the point of eating it even is, and so most of the time don’t eat it and end up giving it to our dog. That was until I had this pizza crust recipe. It’s simple, easy, and definitely tastes good. Try it out!

Servings: One pizza crust.              Cuisine: Italian.

     Total time: 1hr &10-20 minutes.

Ingredients:

1 cup of warm water

1 Tablespoon of sugar

1 & ½ teaspoons of yeast

1 teaspoon of salt

1 Tablespoon of light olive oil

2 & ½ cups of bread flour

Directions:

Put warm water into bowl. Add sugar and stir until it has dissolved. Add in yeast and stir briefly. Cover with towel for about 5 minutes, until the yeast blooms. (This means that it looks like a poofy wet glob.)

Stir and salt and oil. Add in flour gradually. You may not use all the flour, or you may need a little extra. Dough should form into a thick, slightly sticky ball.

Turn out onto floured surface. Knead until smooth. Drizzle a small amount of oil into previously used bowl and put dough into bowl, then turn over to coat. Let rise until doubled in size, about 45 minutes. Punch down.

Roll out dough until it’s the size you wish. Add toppings and bake at 425°F for 15-20 minutes, or crust is golden brown around edges. Enjoy!

Tip: After letting it rise, you can easily put this in the fridge to use in the evening! Make it in the morning, then let it sit in the fridge until you’re ready to make your pizza!

We added homemade sauce, three types of cheese, pepperoni, bell peppers, and red onions to our pizza! J What is your favorite type of pizza?
