After the idea for this blog was born, a name had to be formed. I (Ann) thought of many various names for it, but none quite seemed to fit until I recalled a small excerpt from a poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s “Maidenhood”, which is as follows:
"Standing with reluctant feet
Where the brook and river meet
Womanhood and childhood fleet!"
The name suits this blog perfectly, for it wholly fits the audience we are aiming for. It is exactly where all of us are, somewhere between childhood and womanhood- in other words, “where the brook and river meet.”
We hope that this blog will encourage and inspire you as we strive to teach and learn alongside you, and that you will enjoy this blog for many months to come.
