This pie crust recipe is so simple and perfect if you’re just starting out! It was the one I tried when I first made pie, and it was amazing how easy it was. Pie need never be considered a “hard” dessert ever again with this recipe!

Servings: Pie with top crust or two pie crusts.           Cuisine: American,

Total time: 40 minutes.

Ingredients:

2 cups flour

1 cup softened salted butter

¼ tsp salt

7 tablespoons ice water

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Directions:

Combine the flour and butter in a bowl and use a fork or pastry cutter to blend it together until it looks like coarse sand. You can also use a blender for this, and if you choose to do so, pulse it until it looks like coarse sand.

Stir the ice water and vinegar together in a bowl. Pour half of the water mix into the flour and butter mixture and stir. Add the rest of the water and mix until the dough comes together.

Put the dough on a board or counter and divide it into two sections. Wrap each section individually in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes before using in your pie.
