These cookies have dozens of names, which includes no-bake cookies, poor man’s cookies, or rolled oat cookies. I found an article that listed fifty, and my family’s name for this recipe wasn’t listed! Though there are many names and ways to make these cookies, I thought I’d share our way of making these tasty little morsels. What do you call them?

Servings: Makes about 20-30.                       Cuisine: American.

Ingredients:

½ cup of salted butter

2 cups of sugar

½ a cup of cocoa powder

½ a cup of milk

½ a cup of creamy peanut butter

3 cups of old-fashioned uncooked oats

Directions:

In a medium-sized saucepan, melt the butter and sugar together, stirring occasionally. Add cocoa and milk and mix, ensuring everything combines well. Turn the heat up slightly and bring it to a boil for one minute.

Turn off the stove eye, but don’t take the pot off. Stir in peanut butter until melted, then remove from stove. Add in oats and mix until fully combined.

Spread out a large sheet of parchment paper. To keep it temporarily stuck to the counter, splash a few drops of water onto the counter first. Using a spoon, drop small amounts of the mixture onto the parchment and wait until cool. Enjoy!
